I have used the cruise control feature in the past with no difficulty on my DJI RC-N1 basic controller. This week I was unable to engage cruise control no matter what I tried. With my controller I must program cruise control to the Fn button as either a single or double tap ( there are no other programmable buttons). I tried both single and double tap with no luck. Then I tried to program the Fn button to other features like the landing light which also did not respond. It seems that the Fn button is not being sensed. Has anyone else run into this issue with this controller? I also tried to update the firmware in hopes that this would fix this, but it had no impact.

Thanks in advance for any advice anyone might have.

I had a situation yesterday in which Cruise Control appeared not to work (C1 button on RC2), but turns out I was just a bit rubbish on timing and was releasing directional control a bit early. I am sure that's not what's happening to you, but just need to mention it to eliminate it from your enquiries...

Correct timing is crucial for the Cruise Control to work. From my experience it takes about a second to engage. If I release the sticks too quickly it won't engage. Also the C2 button needs to be held for a sec or so.

I knew that this was one key reason, so I held the sticks a long time while pressing my Fn key. Also, other functions like the landing light could not be accessed with the Fn button. That is why I suspect that the Fn button isn't working.

Let us know if reinstalling FLY helps. Its kinda like rebooting your phone..it often fixes what ails ya.

As this is app driven, maybe uninstall the app and reinstall it
It was difficult for me to imagine after updating the firmware that a reinstallation of the software would do anything, but did. So far, I have only tested it to recenter the gimbal or go to the photo settings with the Fn button. It didn't seem to do anything for the landing light, but I am thinking that the landing light may only work when it is dark. Later I will go out where I can fly some distance and check the cruise control.

Thanks for this suggestion.

One issue that came up after reinstalling the SW is that the iPhone's Hering Control Center is flashing on the screen in a most inconvenient screen that hides the DJI Control tab selection. Also, the audio warnings sent by the drone are no longer playing into my Bluetooth hearing aids. There is always something.
