Curious on best kind of height for best signal?

I'm curious whether you have noticed better signal upon flying higher.

Any thoughts?

Line of sight, above buildings, trees etc always works

LOS and proper antenna orientation are most important. Height may or may not give you better signal, depending on these two.

You don't want buildings, dense trees, hills, anything in between craft and controller.
When you start seeing signal degredation, choppy video transmission, raising the aircraft to keep clear line will help.

And keeping ant. point flatly toward craft is most importante.....
