The front plastic cover is kinda tricky. I never really figured out the proper way, but I was successful sticking a thin metal object from the top seam under and popping some clips that are under there. After that, move to the sides and underneath. It would also be wise to remove the gimbal first.I’m tearing down my Air2S in order to replace right front arm and engines.
There aren't many tutorials out there, I’m currently stuck at removing front plastic cover, the one protecting the front sensors.
Any help/hint?
I already removed the gimbal and popped the two upper clips. Are there more clips? On the sides? Under the bottom seam? The front plastic cover is kinda tricky. Yes, there are clips at the side and two more at the bottom under the seam thereI already removed the gimbal and popped the two upper clips. Are there more clips? On the sides? Under the bottom seam?
Thank you BSauce955Yes, there are clips at the side and two more at the bottom under the seam there
Did you remove those 2 screws under the cover where the front arms are attached?Hey BSauce955, the front cover went away.
A little help for the top cover? I moved the battery screws, the six bottom shell screw, the two front screws under the front plastic nose and the two, littler, screen at the bottom back of it. Still the top cover doesn't pop up, the back of it still is blocked
any idea?
Check DDS. They did a good job for me replacing the arm and the ESC board for only $80.But .. it looks like it wasn’t the engine…
After a longer flight today the new engine heated up as well and the app showed ESC connection error 30085.
I found in a previous thread that it can bea caused by bad soldering or by a broken ESC board. I’m not especially good in soldering so, even if a was extremely careful during the whole operation, it is possible I damaged the ESC when soldering, or more likely the ESC was already the root cause.
I’m searching for a pro to fix it, I’m not keen to do more soldering on the tinies cables connected to the ESC.
Cool! Good to know, that one can do this themself.Finished, front arm replaced!
First test flight looked good, tomorrow more extensive tests.
5 hours work, but funny.
Hi Atrus,Cool! Good to know, that one can do this themself.
I have one question though.
How did you manage to disconnect the wider gimbal connector (the one with the wires, not the ribbon cable) from the board? I am struggeling to disasscemble the gimbal, because I fear to break something, when prying the connector upwards.
Is there a trick. Maybe some lever to be pushed?
