Hi all.

I am new here but I have read a lot of great post on theses forums, and now its time for me to post.

I have done a replacement of the gimbal and its ribbon cables on a Mavic Air 2. The process went fine and I calibrated with the Python script found here: GitHub - o-gs/dji-firmware-tools: Tools for handling firmwares of DJI products, with focus on quadcopters.

I went for some flights and all was good, but suddenly I am getting an error: 40021, Gimbal IMU data error, and video is gone. The drone still flyes perfectly, but I am not able to get any video. Sensors etc. works.

I have tried to reassemble the gimbal and ribbons, but that made no change. Still no video. AFAIK the 40021 error should not block video.

Any suggestions on how to get video back?

with a finger slowly and carefully move the gimbal and feel for any sort of grit or resistance. A compressor on a very low setting can help blow out any debris. Don't use canned air it is way to much pressure. if you cannot feel anything then take a stick or pencil and tap out a tune on the front top of the body......If that lets it work then you need to open the Drone and re-seat all connections. You must also make very sure you replace any silicone you may have removed. this silicone is necessary to keep the cable from slightly disconnecting during re-assembly.

Thank, the gimbal works perfect and very smooth. I have triple checked all connections. It's just video that is complete dead, mind that it did work perfect after replacement of the gimbal. I re-used the original camera. I will now try to replace the new camera/ptz-cable I have installed along with the new gimbal. Maybe I got a bad one that's already broken.
