What’s happening my new friends! I’m totally new to this forum and new to drone flying as well. Although I ha e a collapsible landing pad on its way, I took it upon myself to make own. It was a total rush job in regards to the paint scheme (took about three hours to complete). It’s light, foldable, and easy to carry. Much better than a cardboard box as a platform.

I like your design, but I'd rather strap my 10-oz, 30" collapsible PNY pad to my sling. Found a new one on Amazon for 12 bucks.

I have a 3/4 of acrylic that I just painted an X on it. Yours is very nice i just keep mine on my patio since its acrylic. I kept mine very small 14inches square. I like to manually land on it and it makes it a little challenging being so mall.

Nice work, I made mine from a piece of 2' x 2' white pegboard and some blue tape I bought at home depot. Works perfectly. Took about 5 minutes to make it and only cost few $.

There goes portability right out the window.

All really cool and some nice work also.
Because I usually drive to fly, I launch from the vehicle floor mat, always have it with me and works fine.

This one that I obviously keep at home was cut from 3/16" plywood paneling & can be seen from 6,000' AGL.

Here is the "organic" landing pad I normally use. I fly this Mavic several times a week and never fly in the same location. I travel for a living and don't like to carry a formal landing pad with me. Although I own extensions, I've never used them. With a little stomping of weeds about 2' in diameter, I can take off and land with no difficulty. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in to say it can be done and haven't experienced dust or debris in the motors. Mavic-landing-pad-171022.jpg
