dji assistant 2 not for mac 11 or later? Workaround?

Ok, so I'm trying to learn to use my mavic 2 pro controller instead of just smart controller. Message today said to update controller. Can't get DJI assistant 2 to find it. On DJI assistant 2 for Mavic it says MAc won't recognize if using version 11.0 or later? help?

You can download the Parallel app that will run Windows 10 on your Mac seamlessly and without having to re-boot.

You can just update using the phone app, no need for assistant.
