hi every one , dji batteries are among the main key components that allowed us to have our best experience with our lovely flying cameras , but those reliable smart batteries have one short come that can leave any dji drone useless one day...
i know a filming studio that has six phantoms 3 , though there cameras are obsolete they maybe used for training new pilots... but theyhave only 2 batteries left and aged!!! while other drones only need a 4s to fly i struggled for two years to find some one who have solved this with no luck, the drone turns on if connected to a 4s but will neverfly!!
can any one help on this ,iposted this same thread on phantom pilots long ago but the forum there seems left by most members,
lets keep in mind too that also newer dji drones like the mavics after a while will fall into the same issue, market batteries original or replacements are becoming more ages and expensive , why not to searcha way to apply a diy lipo or lithium to fly our mavics

Ali Express offers non-DJI batteries that feature greater range than the originals. Here is a link to the Phantom 3 batteries that boast of 4980 mAh as opposed to the 4480 mAh of the standard DJI battery for the Phantom 3 Standard. Bear in mind that Ali Express has abysmally poor customer service, so you won't have any recourse if a battery is sent to you that never takes a charge, as I found to my dismay TWICE with Mavic 2 Pro batteries.

So to answer your question, DJI-compatible batteries with improved range ARE available on Ali Express, BUT you might get shipped a dud battery, with no chance of a refund if that happens.

Your experience with AliExpress is different than mine. However, I bought a couple of Mavic 3 batteries that no longer work after a DJI firmware update. But they worked perfectly up until then. Certainly not Aliexpress' fault. My other example was a purchase that was fully refunded after I had bought an unrelated drone item. It took a while, but it was refunded

I am glad to learn from you that Ali Express does have a facility to accommodate customer complaints. I did search the website for a means to communicate with the seller of those two batteries for my Mavic 2 Po that arrived inoperable, and whose combined cost was over $400, but I was unable to find any means to lodge a complaint, which led me to draw the conclusion that shopping with Ali Express is a gamble that could get costly.

you lost 400$ and ue trying to give me advice;):):p, aliexpress is a great place but u need experience to get the best out of it ,u should have read the review of the item before u buy it!!! thanks any way...
there must be a diy guy out there that can help on this, maybe not a fully diy battery is required but a replacment method of the inner cells and keeping the body and electronic circuit of the dji battery..

here is a prove of concept, this guy managed to do it but not further details that can help share his work or solution!!!
am sure in this rc hobby there are guys that are now building DIY models of boeing and airbus of great scales!!!! the dji battery is not an exception there must be a way around to make dji drones fly diy batteries

I was going to throw in a few pointers on how to beat the house at the Blackjack table when next you visit "Vegas, but now something tells me you might not take such advice to heart haha.

On serious note I have been delighted with my five previously bought Alli Express extra-range battersies that do work and make possible 35-minute, 13-mile round trip flights by my Mavic 1 Pro and Mavic 2 Pros. I did feel that in highly recommending those batteries from that source, I should add the caveat that my most recent purchase of eight such batteries did include two of them that turned out to be duds, and thus far amount to a loss for me.

With apologies after this Ali Express plug for which I am paid nothing, I must add that ALL flight batteries fitted into Mavic 1 Pro and Mavic 2 Pro drones, MUST be zip-tied in place for every flight to avoid losing the battery mid-flight due to a design flaw in the battery clip on those two models. I had already lost two Mavics before I stumbled on a mention of this zip-tie fix elsewhere in this forumn, that is an absolute must for the Mavic 1 Pro and Mavic 2 Pro. /sermon over

first i apologize i didnt read neatly ur statements earlier i was about to go to bed .., thanks for sharing this it may help , i once bought an ali express mavic3pro battery it is kicking very fine so far, its price is also very good and the seller was a very great guy, i lost that account i got it from during phone replacement if i manage to get it back i may post it and yes i saw some batteries that give extra flight time but even even even
if the replacement batteries work 100% fine i see it a strategic goal to achieve by finding a way to get around and make a diy battery for the dji mainly for the phantom 3 and the mavic air2 ond the mavic 3pro... too optimistic but i know its out there some where

Sounds like you have the expertise to construct a battery that will work as a replacement for stock DJI batteries. If you ever get to the point of creating a plug-and-play replacement battery that also offers longer range, I will be one of the first to buy and try that design, given the hit-and-miss luck I have begun to have with Ali Express extra-range batteries.

If anyone with the technical skill creates an online store selling DJI-compatible batteries with longer than stock flight times, that product line will sell fast because there are lots of owners of older DJI drones that would be glad for a more affordable and reliable alternative to OEM DJI batteries that are getting harder to find now that their production is discontinued by DJI.
