DJI control over satcom

Has anyone got experience with long range control of a DJI product over satellite comms? I believe there is an app fo the DJI Air, but can't find it

Why not use the DJI 4G dongle? Which is a commercially available mature tech that is the next-best thing.

Just googled it. This relies on the 4G network, I need a system for in open water, outside cellular network range

As long as there is a mobile/cell signal: unlimited. As with your mobile phone: the dongle hands off the control signal transmission from one tower to another seamlessly. First introduced for the Mavic 2 series drones, can be used with a wide selection of the more recent DJI models.
