Hey Guys,

Getting ready to shoot a vid for a school and trying to a good mic setup for my controllers/birds.

The client wants pull back with the kids saying "see ya next time" and waving kinda deal & the Principal wants a fly up to the entrance and kinda saying "welcome to our school".

Im thinking the DJI Mic 3 would be a good option but my son (top notch ground cameraman) HATES the idea of the of the square clip on's. He says it screams "amateur"...

Any feedback is welcome and thanks in advance.

Unless they all scream at the top of their lungs and even then your just gonna hear the props....Maybe Do all that in post.

yeah agreed which is why I was thinking omnidirectional on body lapels and the reciever hooked to my controller?....and using using a mini 4 pro for the quieter props making ambient background noise?

Thoughts?

This sounds like a perfect mission for the Neo 2. I love mine. If DJI put a little larger sensor and a larger battery to extend the flight times, this bird could be even better. But I still think it’s a great product. Good to fly indoors with the temp way below zero F. Yes AKdrone, I am a wimp.

I've done this many times. We record the line wild, meaning just the audio, no drone, do a few takes with whichever mic you prefer and sync up the audio to the drone video in post where talent says the line, no one will notice if the kids don't perform the line exactly each time.
