DJI Goggles - 720p30 vs 1080p30 Range Differences?

Has anyone done any testing as to the range differences between 720p30 vs 1080p30 when using the goggles?

Since I bought them I have been flying @ 720p30 as I like to take the Mavic out 3km+ (over farm fields). Never had any issues.

Today I switched over to 1080p30 just for kicks and noticed no range issues. I only went out about 1.5km.

Has anyone done any testing as to the differences in range?

Just did a test.

Was able to go about 3.5km @ 1080p30. Probably could have gone further as I turned around by choice, not because of any connection issues.

Once at about 2.5km I had the connection switch 1080p30 -> 720p30 -> 1080p30. It happened quite quickly, about 1-2secs for the whole cycle.

So it looks like the googles at least will drop down to 720p30 if they detect the connection is not sufficient and jump back up when it is again.

So assuming you can live with the occasional resolution change, I do not see any reason not to fly @ 1080p30.

It's maybe about half to a third, but as said when you get too far for 1080 it just seamlessly switches to 720 so no issue.
