DJI Let me down and cheesed my melon

I can sort of see why that functionality is there - probably a vestigial function left over from back when DJI had to hold people accountable for their flyings. I imagine I would quite enjoy that little restriction if my UAV was ever stolen !

The thing I really don't get the reason for is the requirement to create an account and log in / activate before you can start using their action-cams. If you can't do this, you get 5 uses and that's your lot until you do !

It's how they install their special spyware, because our lives are so very interesting to them, not that our social media posts made from the action-cams don't already provide that anyway! LOL!

Wish I could do both a 😍 and a laugh 🤣 for this post instead of having to reply to do so. Hard to believe our politicians are so gullible or think we are so stupid to believe the anti-CCP consumer drone tripe spread by Stefanic and Skydio.

Don't always need to login to your home wifi, you can set up a wifi Hotspot in the field with your phone. Of course it helps if you fly with a different device than that phone.

That is assuming you are in an area where you have cell service - if you do, you are fine, but if you don't you are kind of out of luck - I learned the hard way.

I should set my phone up as a hot spot just in case something happens in the future.

I got all logged in and went flying at the same place. The geofence was gone but, oddly, I had a 150 foot ceiling. It's not listed on Autopylot

For today's exercise, I set up a waypoint mission. I was not excited about the results.
At one spot I had set a marker and it got too close to a tree. I have the controller set to stop at obstacles and that ends the mission even though I manually avoided the tree on the second run.

I also must have changed a setting because the drone no longer stops on a dime. When I rotate, it doesn't stop when I let off the stick. It slowly fades and at full speed rotation that ends up being an almost 90 degree overrun.

I did manage a complete unassisted landing on the landing pad.
