DJI Mini 2 - fly apps

Hello all.

I purchased today the DJI Mini 2 Combo unit.
Scanned the Q code to get the DJI Fly app,
after download tried to install it, but, nothing
I clicked to install, after "staging" , the software asks to "INSTALL", i confirm,
but after a minute or 2, got a "APP NOT INSTALLED"
downloaded on 2nd phone, same result.
Phones are running Android 8.1.0, and Android 9.0 , both phones has over 2Gig free space.
Phone is in DEVELOPERS MODE and can install from UNKNOWN source.

So, besides DJI Fly, what OTHER App mimics DJI Fly, that i can to fly the DJI Mini 2 ?
(while i await response from support at DJI.com)

Are they 64bit?

Have you tried the play version?

Only Fly app works with Mini2, no third party apps works (yet).

used Aida64 and CPU-Z to verify

The "play" store says "Your device isn't compatible with this version"

What's the "minimum requirements" for this App ?

*High chances of me returning this item to place of purchase for a refund.

I know DJI don't care and won't miss me, but they lost my purchase, my endorsement and/or recommendations.

how are some droners flying the Mini 2 with Litchi, Rainbow , etc.
Are those apps run ON TOP of DJI Fly , or are they stand alone drone pilot APPS ?

Litchi is not yet compatible with mini 2 as DJI have not released the sdk

They’re not. As @skunky1 states, they’re not available for the Mavic 2 yet. To answer your other question, they run separately from Fly.

As for the phone thing, it makes sense the more expensive phones are the ones that work. DJI aren’t doing it to upset people with less powerful phones, it’s just a fact that the app is resource heavy and requires a lot of processing. Think about what you need the app to do. Control the camera on your drone. Receive a HD live transmission from your drone. Receive all of the telemetry data. Run all of the other stuff your phone is doing. You can’t expect that on a cheap phone, and for it to work reliably.

The Asus Zenpad Z8s works perfectly. Used ones on fleabay go for around $90 US. The stock DJI cable is long enough and all you'd have to buy otherwise is a mount adapter for like 7 bux which also sells on fleabay.

Plenty of cheap phones are compatible with DJI Fly. I have personally used an iPhone 7 and 2nd gen SE, and I’ve also used a Samsung Galaxy A20e if you want to use Android.

You can't add RAM to any phone or tablet. It has 3 GB of ram. Android needs to be a 64 bit operating system to run the Fly app but that still doesn't mean a phone or tablet will be compatible. The Zenpad Z8s just works well with the Fly app.

I deleted the DJI Fly app APK file that i had downloaded from dji.com days ago
clear my phone cache.

Re-download DJI Fly app from DJI.com today, installed on the same LG Stylo 6, everything works now.
