I bought this on a online auction.
It was advertised as a DJI Mini 3 Drone body and I paid good money for this
I received the factory sealed box.
It has a "not for resale" sticker underneath the shrinkwrap
It is factory sealed new but on the back I see the word dummy.
Can somebody tell me what I actually have bought?
I have attached pictures
I don't want to open this box up and lose whatever value that is worth.
Is this drone a store display?
The UPC code tells me nothing on google
I noticed most boxes like this have a serial number on the back and don't have the red stick "not for resale"
I can return within 7 days if there is a problem.
Thanks in advance
I am out of my element here. :)
Keith

Like a non-functional drone body for use in a store display? It seems that might be what you actually purchased.

Why would there be a real battery in a dummy drone?
To me, it appears the box is saying it contains a "dummy battery".

Why don't you ask the seller?

You'll be able to see what a real drone-only kit looks like for example here's one on ebay: BRAND NEW Factory Sealed DJI Mini 3 Drone Only(No Remote or Battery) 190021075177 | eBay

At a minimum, you should have a similar serial number range to compare to. I'm pretty sure if your box has no serial number visible on the outside, it is probably not an actual drone. For sure, no real battery.

If you want to get a crude idea about what's inside, you could weigh the box (should be greater than 249g) and then compare it to a retail box weight and make the subtractions for the missing items. If it's close....a dummy drone may not come close unless dummies are real drones that cannot be activated. If you box weights substantially less than 249g then it's probably not real.

I have purchased one of those before to fix a drone. It is a store display it is only good for the plastic body parts If you purchased it on Ebay the rules are clear that they have to state in the description "store display" OR "Dummy". the one I got had Dummy on it BUT not "Real Battery" Perhaps the Battery inside that one is Real?
