hello everyone, the encoding format is h.265 in mini 3 pro and 4k60fps, is this a bug or not? why not h.264?

H.265 is a more efficient video codec, which means higher quality in a smaller file. It's intentional. And a bit of a pain, as the H.265 codec is not universally supported by NLEs and other software yet.

You can select H.265 or H.264 in the app under Camera > Video > Coding format. If the option to change coding isn't there, reset the camera parameters (bottom of that page).

Higher frame rates and resolutions are stuck at H.265. Shoot it in H.265 and if your NLE doesn't support H.265 (DaVinci Resolve does), then change it to H.264 with Handbrake (free) or some other conversion software.

"Other mini 3 pro"? There's only one Mini 3 Pro. It's sold in several combinations of accessories, but all the same drone.

On the Mini 3 Pro, you get these combinations:
4K - 30, 25, 24 -- H.264 or H.265
4K - 48, 50, 60 -- H.265 only
1080p - any frame rate -- H.264 or H.265
I think English is not the OPs native language. I think he meant “are all Mini 3s like this”. Basically wanting to know if his drone is faulty.

Your answer was excellent

use Shutter Encoder to convert your h265 to h264, then in your NLE select replace footage and replace it with your newly converted h264 footage, its a workaround.

I find h.265 stutters all over the place when exporting for the likes of social media ! Instagram ect , What I have been doing is selecting h.264 and using a 2 way pass around 35-40 mbps and find this gives a nice smooth clean video for people to watch on instagram... Don't know why but h.265 stutters really bad for me. & its not my PC because its one of the best on the market ! 4090 & i9 13900k
