So I have a Mini 2 and Air 2S. In both cases when in Vietnam and flying near the border with China I am flight restricted with the controller asking for my phone number in China. This has been up to 20km away. It is not a restricted border zone area. It has now happened to me on a number of occasions in totally different areas of Vietnam near the border. I was hoping the 2S might eliminate the problem but no joy. Support is aware of the issue and suggested ...
1, update the No-fly zone info when the message pop-up.
2, clean the app cache, then reinstall the app(latest version).
3, enable your dji go app's location read permission from your phone setting.
4, connect your phone/tab in very good internet situation.
5, put your drone in a wide place with very good GPS signal.
6, power on RC, Drone , and then App, it will be good.
lol. Yes I am at a remote resort or homestay on a client job and I must do this kabuki dance just to use the drone! Impossible in most cases as the rep said wifi was needed. I know it's a long shot but has anyone in VN found a workaround.
