The s/n is in the battery compartment if it was in salt water is no good but if someone lost it and have a dji refresh on it they need it, to get it replaced for free

Where about did you find his drone, DJI has a lost and found also phantompilots. com will have a place to post a found ad.
it seems to be missing the gimbal with camera but the battery is still there and if you pull it you the s/n is in the front

It will look like new but it will never fly again will the boards inside the salt water will eat it all up

Apparently a sixteen year-old who bought a Fantoom with his own money lost one about six months ago in this area.
you're suggestion is worth following in case he had insurance.

Researching atm, locals have to be traced but there is a possibility.
