I sent my MP in for the common gimbal aircraft overload repair, and DJI returned to me a new MP. Since I registered my MP as a commercial operator, do I have to register the new MP and what happens to my old MP?
Aircrafts have different serial #'s.

It also would have been nice if DJI would have returned the MP with ANY kind repair or replacement paperwork that had been performed. I thought I had my original MP returned because the battery was the same ( I marked it w a sharpie, the # 3 ) so I wouldn't get confused with the other 2. I didn't check the serial # until it took me a while to figure out that I had to link the RC.

If this has already been answered in a previous post, I apologize.

And lastly, what ever you do, BE HOME WHEN YOUR MP IS BEING DELIVERED from the DJI repair facility.
The dog and pony show that I went through with their customer service would push many a saint over the ledge. It took over 2 months for them to send it back to me because it was returned to them because no one was home to sign for it.

Anyway, Thanx for any assistance.

Cheers
Johnny

Was it a warranty repair? Most warranty repairs do not generate billing paperwork, they just confirm that its broken, and send you out a new (or refurbed) one. They change their internal paperwork to reflect the new serial number.

A little different for Refresh. When you send one in for a Refresh, you get a bill for the cost of the repair including all the ailments, then they adjust the bill down to the Refresh deductible. Your serial number will be changed on the aircraft top cover, on your registration with DJI, and also on your Refresh contract. Most times they do not confirm that your serial number has been changed on your Refresh contract, but it always will change automatically.

OP did you have Refresh? I know this was prob a warranty repair, but get on chat, email or the phone with DJI and ask them to send you an amended Refresh agreement with new serial number just in case you ever decide to sell it. You will want the Refresh contract Mavic serial number the same that is on the drone.

It was a warranty repair. No charge to me.
I checked the manufacturer date of the new serial # and it was a few after they had received my MP.
Have to assume it is a new MP.
