Does active track, track vertically or just horizontal such as profile

Mavic 2 Pro if you use active track and put a green box around a small rocket will it try to track this vertically or just horizontally or neither? Just wondering.

The tracking works in three dimensions, but I seriously doubt it would be possible to track something that accelerates as fast as a hobby rocket.

I fully agree with you but in the online demonstrations I have only seen horizontal tracking nothing much mentioned about verticle so just curious.

Climb up above the expected altitude or off to the side and just get it coming up vertical from overhead. Thanks

Check out YouTube videos where a drone tracks a rider up and down a hill (that would be vertical tracking).
