Does anyone have any current, accurate information on taking my Mavic to Guatemala?

I'm headed there next week, and not sure if taking it is a great idea, or a bad idea.

A friend of mine visited a year or so ago and had to register his drone but the official website says that you do not have to. I would proceed with caution.
