So last night I started making waypoint missions for my upcoming trip. When I went to save my first mission, I found it wouldn't rename the mission. It kept reverting to the default name DJI gives them, which is time and date the mission was created. It also had some stuff when I first started the waypoint editor, about syncing my missions with my account. All my old missions still had their correct names. I emailed DJI Support and am waiting for their reply.
Then I Googled this and found this:

The primary problem with DJI Waypoint editor naming is a persistent bug, particularly noted after a May 2025 update for the RC 2 controller, where users are unable to save missions with a custom name as the system automatically reverts to a default name.

Description of the Problem

When users attempt to assign a custom, descriptive name to a saved waypoint mission within the DJI Fly app's "Task Library", the software fails to register the new name and defaults back to a generic name usually based on the date and time of creation (e.g., a string of numbers). This makes managing and identifying multiple saved missions difficult.

So i searched mavic pilots, and found absolutely nothing about this. So do any of the hundreds of millions of mavic pilots members actually fly their drones?

Waypoint Missions are a unique subset of drone flights only available on newer drones, which many cannot use because of Waypoint limitations such as no negative altitudes when flying from a hilltop over lower ground. Those actually using Waypoint Missions are more inclined to be professionals needing Waypoint missions, in which case they are using the superior RC Pro or RC Pro 2, instead of the poor man's RC 2 controller.

I’ve owned drones since 2016 and yes I fly them, in that I normally rarely use the various quickshot offers or even RTH. No, I’ve never ever used waypoints so wouldn’t be aware of problems with them.

What a strange question. I would say most members here fly their drones.
You you like to clarify your definition of flying your drone
