For me, there is no more beautiful place than the home of my heart, Scotland, from stunning beaches, wild mountains, snow-capped peaks, mighty Castles, bonny heather glens, it has it all - and the warm welcomes, food and whisky make it my paradise on earth!

However, one thing you cannot guarantee is the weather - as has been said, if you don't lie the weather wait 10 minutes and it will change - but Scotland is stunning no matter what the weather - stunning under blue skies, and equally as stunning - and perhaps more atmospheric - under clouds and rain...

This video is a short explore of the wonderful atmosphere of Scotland when the weather is dreich, enjoy!

Wow, thank you, those are some very kind words... Its been an idea that has been floating around for a while - I have the music lined up 6 months ago, but didn't quite have the footage I wanted at that time...

TBH it has made me look deeper at flying when the conditions are not perfect, something I think I shall do more of in future...

You obviously travel extensively and you put an enormous amount of work and thought into your videos. I always love watching them. Of all the places to travel to … Scotland would be the top of the list for the glorious scenery.

Thank you... we visit Scotland usually 3 times a year, and when we do its a drone flying extravangsa, assuming the weather plays ball

About 40 years ago I stood on top of Glenfinnan Viaduct with my Super8 camera waiting for the famous steam train to Mallaig! And I actually managed to film it!
