Drone flying in Egypt

I am planning a vacation in Egypt. Does anyone know what are the requirements, if any for pre-trip registration, etc?

My brother is an avid amateur photographer and he is in Egypt right now. When I asked him if he took his Mavic Pro he told me he wanted to but that it was illegal.

You're very welcome. I understand you can apply for a permit from their ""CAA" but you're not likely to get one.

Is Egypt “anti drone” or just “anti foreigners with drones” I wonder? Either way what could be the reasons?
