Hi, has anyone brought a drone to Italy and fly there? Besides registering and complying with the rules there, now , as of 2025, it seems that drone insurance is a must, regardless of whether flying recreational or commercial and weight of drones.
D-Flight drone registration also require insurance ID to be filled in.

I've looked around for any drone insurance we can possibly by but to no avail. THe most popular one - Coverdrone, is only available to residents from EU, US, Canada and Australia.

Do you know if there are any we can buy in Singapore?

My brother flew a drone unimpeded all around Italy, including over Pompeii, inside the Vesuvius, and the Colosseum while the guards and guides in those places just smiled and waved at it. Of course this was in the early golden age of drones before all the regulations. Sorry you have to go through so many hoops to be able to do it.

Thanks for sharing. Yeah. I decided to do some online courses for A1/A3 Certification although it's not quite needed for my DJI flip.

I'm coming to understand the context a little more and respect the regulations a little more, although it's quite a pain. The insurance part is hard since there aren't any such offerings in this part of the world.

Someone shared with my Grey Arrow Drones Club membership might have some offerings.
