I have created a Channel on Zello (walk-in talkie app for your phone) entitled “Drone Search & Rescue”. The app is popular among emergency workers.

Here is the "Drone Search & Rescue" channel on Zello. This channel is to be used ONLY for real-world SAR operations - not daily chit chat. (I will be setting up a separate channel for drone pilots to communicate about SAR related issues.)

Click the links for each channel above and it take you to the site to register. Download the Zello app to your Smartphone and you are good to go after loggin in. The app is very useful as it allows real-time communication but without the range restriction of radios.
