Drone Skin on Air 2

Recently put a more visible yellow skin on my Air 2. I am losing some distance from time to time with my controller. I was wondering if the skin may be causing this issue. Any one else had any experiences of this type on their Air 2.

it can have an effect if the skin is made of a metallic material some of the very shiny skins do have this its like a foil like layer under the top colour , if it has the strips which cover the front antenna legs try removing them, to see if that helps ,the metallic type material can also block the signal to the GPS module as well

Can you explain the loss of distance and conditions when it happened? Many factors in that, but like @old man mavic stated - the skin may be something of an issue.
