I recently took the $70 plunge for a complete wrap set from Wrap Grade Japan aka Drone Wrap Japan.
Previous to this I used the 3M product Dual Lock with great success to mount goodies. This tape bonds pretty well and is removable but I thought it had the potential to pull the skin off too. I switched to a much easier way and almost no chance of skin pull when removing. I used a two sided tape called remo two. I just cut 3 inch lengths and stacked them in a coin tube along with slip n snip scissors and carry them in my case.

It holds well and removed with ease. The items attached are secure for all typical flying environments. In a crash, they could come off, just like anything other item mounted with any type of removable tape. However, I feel they would be close enough to find the drone.
This tape allows for a dynamic mounting of anything you would want in different locations on drone based on flying situation.
