Hello! Can I fly my drone at the beaches in Sicily? If so, is there a certain time of year? Thanks!

Hi -

You might find this useful. IMHO.

If you know where you are going in Sicily google the local tourist office.

.

There is an interesting page here: Fly drones in Italy for fun: what you can, what you can't - DronEzine
where you can read that "You must not fly over beaches during bathing season (usually from June, 15th to September, 15th) and you must not fly over nature reserve and national parks, it’s prohibited and you may harm wildlife."
Enjoy your trip in Italy!

may harm wild life flying over a national park or nature reserve......................I understand that some people might say this but do we have to also propagate it! Apparently walking through them and climbing up rock walls is far more environmentally friendly. Sheesh! Seriously, where are the FACTS that support this rubbish. It is this type of nonsense talk that has caused us all the trouble we now experience trying to undertake the SAFEST hobby in the world.

Fyi, there will also be new regulations coming across the EU starting July 1st. Will depend on your timing and when Italy will make those new regulations part of their jurisdiction.
