Drones May Stop School Shootings

Maybe, but once someone has made up his or her mind to create that kind of mayhem, is committed to a course of action, and has assembled the necessary weaponry and other paraphernalia, the threat of a drone-intervention is unlikely to deter them. It's not as if they're going to stand exposed in an uncrowded hall and wait for a high-speed drone to hunt them down and either distract or disable them.

In the June 24, 2016 edition of The New Yorker, Malcolm Gladwell wrote an article entitled Thresholds of Violence - How school shootings catch on. It's an interesting read.
