Drones over NYC for new year

In the street waiting for the ball to drop (yes its crazy here) and see the authorities have some drones in the air watching the crowd. Pretty interesting.

No I believe they use them with a attached netting recover said drone fly it back to there location. Pretty crazy stuff they have there. What’s more dangerous a drone falling from the sky or a exploding one. Catch my point here. Enjoy your time in the big city. Will be watching from across the river

I won’t be in NYC for New Years... seen the ball drop once, cool, but absolutely hated the crowding in Times Square and the charges.

I was invited by the director of drone security LVPD to come join the operation a couple of years ago.
I was in close communications with him trying to find the perfect spot to fly to capture the Fountains at Bellagio.
He was very helpful in choosing a spot.
Didn't make it to the invite though...WAY too crazy!!!
That was pre March 17, 2019 regs where all I had to do is call McCarran tower and inform them of the flight.

Most of the big cities received the grants. Yes observation.
