Hi,
I've read a few drying out drone threads, and the use of rice.
I used to work in gas production (by machine ;)) where we use desiccant, plus airflow and heat. And many years ago, I worked with dry cleaning.

Has anyone tried 100% alcohol? (the scientific pure kind) This is used to dry out insects for show.
If you filled the drone with alcohol, would it damage it?
If not do this a few times and then let the alcohol evaporate, and this may work.
What do you think?

it works but not by just pouring it over the drone..... you need to take the drone apart and throw the pieces in an alcohol "bath" . It helps displace the water, Not dry the water out.
Once the water has been displaced the board will dry without damage.

That should rinse it out especially if you really flooded it enough to push the water and alcohol out till it's down to just alcohol. Then blow it to get as much out as possible and follow-up with fan/air dry. The problem is that any electronic damage was done the moment it hit the water and was still under power. The water would have shorted across circuits for a period of time prior to the battery shutting down. So unless the battery was completely dead or fell out, the damage may already have been done. I do recall reading some post in here where this was done and all was fine after they dried out, but not many. Some have flushed them out first with distilled water if I remember correctly, especially if they went down in salt or extremely dirty water. Good luck with it.

Check this guide:

Hi C,
No I would soak it, then repeat till the moisture was replaced with alcohol.
