Calling all Geordie pilots,

Anyone drone in Durham or Newcastle before? I'm visiting in August, and would like to drone over Durham Cathedral, and the Tyne Bridge.

I'm from Durham.

Watch out for the Cathedral as its near a NFZ for the prison. in fact Its smack bang in the NFZ! I have flown in this area over a building site (commercial work) so you can actually take off. But the last update may have put a stop to that.

Tyne bridge is a bit tricky too as Newcastle City council have a Zero drone policy and are actively looking to prosecute. Stay on the Gateshead side and you should be fine as they are a lot more lenient.
