Got a great free LUT from Noam Krull's website and the result is very good. Download My Free GH4 Cine-D LUT Here! Plus, Why I’m Not Using The New GH4 Supertone Settings

Obviously can then be tweaked however you wish, but gives a great starting point.

He also has a great range of stylish LUTs for sale on his site.

I started using DaVinci Resolve, the free version is powerful. There is a learning curve but I think it is the most comprehensive free program you can get so I won't be outgrowing it.

Since it's not me raising a necro-thread, I'll go on to say that I'm a big fan of Magix Movie Edit Pro, and just upgraded that to Premium this year.

I use FCPX with ColorFinale. There's a learning curve but it's worth it. Look for any videos by Larry Jordan to get started.
