I love how you lightened up the shadows. How'd you do that?
Simply used the SHADOWS slider in Photoshop ADOBE CAMERA RAW (ACR) but I did use some of the other adjustments. You cannot really do this well unless you open the image in RAW file first where there is plenty of information in the file (unlike jpeg). Once I open the image from the SD CARD, (WHICH IS DNG), I upload the image to Photoshop ACR and make most of my edits in ACR (which are global) before then opening the image in Photoshop JPG. Simple- most photo softwares have a SHADOWS slider like I have attached above. Let me know if you need further information. This was in Photoshop Adobe Camera RAW.
