I'm hoping that the seller knew how to properly maintain the batteries. I just found out about the discharge problems, the fix and proper handling. Thanks YouTube!

First thing I'd do is check whether it is bound to the previous owners account, I think you will see warnings concerning that in your app if you try to start the motors.
If, by any chance this comes with a controller with a built in screen i.e. a smart controller, ( doubtful ) and that controller is still logged into the original owners account then check using that account BEFORE you start using your own account.
You will need to google how to do the latter or for someone else to tell you.

If there are no such bindings in place then I'd give the drone a thorough inspection for cracks and crash damage and check that every thing works.
Concerns about batteries I will leave to others to deal with.
