Here is my take on the FAA's BVLOS NPRM. It's imperative that every drone owner in the U.S., whether commercial or recreational, submit clean, articulate, and professional comments before October 6th.

The RID NPRM had over 53,000 comments. We should blow that number out of the water. There are over 465,000 Remote Pilots in the U.S., and 1.1 Million recreational flyers. If we don't double the number of comments from the NPRM, I'd be disappointed.

Do you have a good resource that has the quick bullet points on what’s in the NPRM as you understand it? I’m probably missing earlier posts or articles you have done that is just the facts kind of thing but I’m reading your linked article as someone who this is the first I’m hearing of any of this and it’s just that it’s a bit hard to follow what the actual proposed rule changes are because they are layered in with editorial comments.

Not that I don’t want your editorial comments, I do, I just want the facts first.

It's 180 pages of triple column 10 pt text. There is no way to actually craft bullet points. Its too varied.

We can always hope. But confidence is extremely low that anything other than what the current leadership wants, at any given minute, will be implemented. I know, I know, stay positive. But there is also reality.
US customs has no reason to hold up dji product, but here we are.

Comment, please. We've seen many changes to final rules from NPRMs in the past. Both for Part 107, as well as OOP and RID. We saw a number of changes in those directly from the comments.
