FAA Needs to Unleash the Commercial Potential of Drones

One of the reasons I shop local as much as can be done.
Saves cardboard.

I watch a light/Dron carnaval with over 100 drones operated by computer. Is a matter of good quality GPS and software only
No need for drivers training more than push the button to turn it on
So at that point who is the Pilot-in-Command? Who needs to hold the rating as a trained and certified pilot? The computer?

Amazon prime air begins drone delivery.

Watch for porch pirates. They'll be watching.

Drone flight is revolutionary. It reminds me of the early laser, a solution looking for problems to solve. UAV’s will increasingly dominate the skies given their potential for fun and profit. Question is, how/where will I fly in the future? BVLOS with waivers will be the way for deliveries I think, but I can’t visualize the new rules for that. The FAA experts can however. It will be a fascinating evolution. The hope is, that my recreational and 107 flights don’t get curtailed In the process. That might be wishful thinking.

An equine vet friend keenly wishes to ship blood samples to a lab directly from his field patient via drone. Ideal would be to take off in the morning with five or so drones to deliver samples through the day. That’s a tall order right now, but in the future, it may become routine, effective, and economical.
