Fail-safe ?

Is there a fail-safe feature for DJI Quads that will kill the motors no matter what altitude it is, like what I have set on my race quads?

Will the throttle down for 3 seconds do that when flying? ( I have tried this from around 8 meters and it just lands before killing the motors, just not sure what it would do from 100 meters )

Yes. Moving both sticks down and into the center will kill the motors.

FYI, you'll need to make sure the only for emergency use option is not selected in DJI GO if you'd like to be able to kill the motors anytime.

Will the throttle down for 3 seconds do that when flying?

No.
