My Mini 3 Pro w/RC controller came in yesterday and spent that evening getting familiar with it and setting things up, but have not flown it yet. I want to make sure it's going to be good to go for safe/legal flight.

I live in a no fly zone very close to Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue (class D) where my house is in a 0 area square using Airmap with the next cube over being a 400'. When I move both sticks back just to start the motors a message pops up stating "Aircraft in authorization zone. Unlock to take off". It lists Bogue Fld McAlf that you can click on to open and a cancel/unlock button.

My question is can I request authorization through the controller itself in a zone that I can fly in with clearance?

Thank you
Mark

No it’s 2 separate things. DJI just lets you unlock the authorization zone to be able to fly, it doesn’t contact the airport. You have to get the LAANC approval for the controlled airspace, which you can use Aloft Air Control app and among others.
