Filmora 9. Problm solving

I am on an older iMac which can only upgrade to OS 10.11.6 so my video editing choices are limited. I finally found Filmora 9 and loved it ..until I paid for it and then it began freezing and crashing almost constantly. The support was non existent, a big loop of click here, click there, and ending up at the beginning. I reloaded the software several times to no avail. Finally I loaded the software on a separate external drive and it has only crashed once since... I hope this may save someone the hours and hours of frustration I experienced. The software itself is very easy and intuitive to use.
