Filter question

When we fly during this time of the year, we are getting that our images are washed out, concrete and asphalt almost totally white. Is there a filter that would help with this problem and if so what one? We have a Mavic 2 pro and we fly for topography, so the camera on the drone is pointing straight down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I Always underexpose with the M2P, either -.3 or -.7 stops. If the picture is washed out, you can’t get the details back, but if it is under exposed a bit you can usually bring out the shadows. Snow and white pavement will always overexpose the shot.

Using an auto exposure setting with extensive snow and white sand results in underexposure.

The auto exposure logic doesn't know snow or sand from normal scenes with trees, grass, and such, so it tries to make the image look "normal." The snow or sand will appear darker than reality. You have to open up a stop or two (deliberately overexpose) to get a more realistic shot.
