Just updated my GO 4 to GO 4.6 android, then w/ out even connecting MP/RC it shows my MP travel across the ocean from China to CA USA.

Oh. That explains. My phone hasn't been able to update the app for some reason. It downloads and then fails to install.

It just shows the last reported location. In many missing drone cases, that's not actually where the drone is found.

I doubt that. I don't know how the drone will be able to communicate it's location back without GSM. This may be for some of the newer drones, (Spark?) that probably has a GSM chip to transmit data back to the Go 4 app.

Well it may not tell you where it IS but at least it will tell you where it was last seen by the software. For a hobbyist like me that could be useful, although I also have a Marco Polo on my Mav. But even with a tracker like a Marco Polo, the tracker only has a certain distance limit so knowing where it was last recorded would help to know where to start looking. That might help to get you into that 2 mile range that the tracker has.

uninstall the app and just install it fresh again .
