Hi all. I am testing the waters with Video Editing. Here is a quick one in Las Vegas just to get a feel for it.

Not bad for your first video. The color in your footage looked bright and washed out you should learn to do color corrections in post, it will definitely make your video pop. I also shot at Seven Magic Mountains before as well check out my video.

Wanting to get into video editing myself, May I ask you what software you are using to perform the edits. I know Adobe is an industry standard, but for hobby use it is a bit expensive for me. Hoping there is a great option that may be priced a little more attractively for a hobby use. Also, I am not looking for so many features the learning curve will necessitate a huge amount of study...

While I am posting on the OP's thread, I wouldn't mind if any one else chimed in with a recommendation for software. Thinking under $200.

Have a look at Davinci Resolve. The price is right (free)
Down side is you need a powerful computer and it is not simple but about the same as Adobe
