Thanks for the advice! Don't think I'll try it again. It was a big risk I must admit.That bridge is a very narrow one so loss of GPS was not as likely. In the future flying quickly under the bridge as to not loose GPS dramatically might be a better plan. Then if you want a nice slow shot flying under the bridge you can slow it down during post processing.
Bridges with a wider span or width are much more risky due to the potential loss of GPS and also the metal content. Not such a great idea to attempt those.
This sounds pretty challenging. The foil will block out the GPS signal? Will it interfere with the wifi signal?If you want to practice what loss of GPS signal means to the flight characteristics of your Mavic . Essentially switching to ATTI mode. You can tape a single piece of aluminum foil over the top of the Mavic. Dont block the vents. The fly in an open field and you will get an idea of what to expect.
