First video with the Mavic

Shot some video with the mavic. Tried shooting in 4K but my computer won't even play it. Guess I need a new computer/or at the least a better video card. Here's the link to the video. Not sure how to enclose it like the ones I see you guys do from youtube. Let me know what you think. The quality isn't as good as I'd like to be. Maybe too much compression?

Content is very nice and you're correct something is up with the quality. I'm basically a "still" guy, thus I'll allow others to comment on quality fixes.

Thanks, I'm a still guy as well. Lots to learn. I think I might just shoot in 4K and deal with it later in post.

IMHO the purchase of Mavic will eventually cause "collateral expenses". To edit in 4K you need either a LOT of patience or a new PC or card. On my old pc to produce 3 min of video took 3 hours to final render..
Consider ssd disk, nvidia quadro graphics card.. the 4k displays prices dropped down recently

I hear you on that! My wife is really good about it, but don't want to push it to much! I do have a ssd drive, but running out of room. I think I'll start with a new video card.

I was able to play both videos either on my pc or ipad pro. On youtube you might get into problem using non licensed music though the pink floyd tune fits great. The new beta of da vinci resolve 14.2 is able to handle the H264 codec better and is definitely worth a try. And is free. I am using all the time. Plus many videos with howto on yt.

The video with Pink Floyd was shot with an airplane with a pocket camera attached to it. Night and day when you compare it to the Mavic footage.
I'm using Producer 12 and found a few settings for the video card that helped. GPU? It will handle the 2K stuff so I'll shoot at that setting for now.
