The second of 3 videos from a recent Grey Arrows Drone Club NW Group Annual Easter Meet-Up, this time the enigmatic wrecks of Fleetwood...

These boats have served their time and done their work, and they are now being left to be reclaimed by the ocean and sink into the foreshore. Photogenic, but sad and abandoned, I wonder what tales they could tell - of fisher-folk battling against the elements to hew a living from the harsh sea mistress... Stories of lives well lived, of hardship and obstacles, but ultimately of the triumph of the human spirit over adversity...

It is a place that is worth a visit and perhaps an interesting subject for a more thoughtful, slower piece, in black and white or sepia toned, for another time, I think...

I always look forward to your work. Sad to see so much trash left to be disposed of in the ocean we all share. Not to mention the potential hazards to navigation.

Brilliant drone work though - looking forward to the next.

Thank you, your support and kind words mean a lot :)

Yes, sad to see, but by filming it perhaps it will raise awareness and things will change - although the likelihood is sadly low...

Wow really good Suzanne. Was OA on?

Amazing angles, the boats definitely look like they have seen far better days lol

Very interesting collection. Nice phitography. It makes me wonder why there isn’t value in dismantling these and recycling them?

Thanks...

OA on the AIR3 as it was in Normal mode, but the AVATA doesnt have OA, so flying by the seat of your pants - it warns you how far you are from the surface below, but thats it...

Awesome video! Great flying too!

Nicely done! It would be interesting to see what they look like when the tide is in.

Thanks for clarifying. I didn’t cotton on you used both drones. On my Air 3s you can turn off OA on normal mode through the menus, but understand the risks if things go tits up. Do you list both or whatever bird you’re using for the whole vid at the beginning?

Really well put together 👏🏽👏🏽

I listed both on the intro, but as this is a Cine forum, I only post it as AIR3...

Very interesting. The size of the tide is amazing.
Yeah, we do get some large tides around the UK, especially in the West :)

That's so sad, obviously it was a working waterfront in the not too distant past. Wondering if any of those derelict still float on the high tide..but doubt it. Being a lifelong waterman myself, I'm sure there's many a tale to go along with the relics. Have many of my own but sadly I'm a relic too.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see whether they float, and perhaps to capture them half-submerged at some point...
