I've seen similar hits on this topic, but not a definitive answer on what's the difference... I see my Mavic 2 Pro has two different SN's for the flight controller and the remote controller and I'm not sure what differentiates the two, system-wise... pardon my naïveté here, but can anyone help this old soul?

I believe the "flight controller" is something inside the drone, at a guess a chip or board inside the drone, whereas the "remote controller" is the thing you hold in your hands.

My drones show S/N for the flight controller, the drone and the gimbal camera.

Flight Controller is in the aircraft and does the "decision making" on how to make your stick inputs work without crashing the aircraft. Things like FailSafe, control throw limits, maximum bank angle etc are all calculating and "controlled" within the Flight Controller.
