Seriously - $14.5k.So Flir Just Announced a new made in USA Only Drone
Ships In April If anyone would like to purchase inquire within (complete setup runs around 14.5k)
Feel Free to share your thoughts here and how this compares w/ the DJI Enterprise Fleet
To try and compare a consumer "toy" drone to one adopted by use for the military based on price is just beyond conceivable at any level and most certainly not from anyone who has ever served or serves in the US Military (Less than 1% of Americans these days). Does the Mini have obstacle avoidance both day and night? Night viewing capability? Rugged, agile, and ready to deploy rapidly, purpose-built for short-range reconnaissance. Rucksack portable and hand-launched?
Does it fly in GPS-denied navigation airspace? In GPS-denied or degraded environments while still being mission capable? Does it use accurate cursor-on-target, providing accurate coordinates for relay to the GCS? These battlefield capabilities combine improved situational awareness with intuitive operation to keep the warfighter safe and out of the line of fire in dangerous environments.
Granted nothing bought by the Government is worth what they pay, but I would welcome any of you armchair Mini pilot warriors who would like to change places with any of the Armed Forces for a day please don't hesitate to jog right on down to your local recruiter and sign on that dotted line and make sure you note what your life is worth as well for comparison. Yeah didn't think so.....The only difference from them and the majority of Americans is "they didn't almost join." Ridiculous comments from some if it saves but just one service member, then it's certainly not a pile of "...." nor are their lives that give you a "right" to comment.![]()
I would assume was built to the military requested specs also a small price to pay considering the spying drama(no one can really say for certain either way) Flir not spying 1000% made in USA. parts sourced from USA production made by USA employees not slaves who work 12 hr days seven days a week for $150 per month, don’t forget there are 2 shifts so production doesn’t stop in ChinaSeriously - $14.5k.
