I found this anti DJI article in my morning Miami Herald. Just decided to post it to the forum for discussion.

It seems to me that our hobby with DJI drones is really coming under a ton of pressure here.

That's going to hurt if S&R is hindered using DJI products.
They really are at the forefront of drone and camera tech for such activities, as well as normal policing.
Perhaps soon, the way things are deteriorating Worldwide there will be more to worry about than drone availability or Walmart products.

He won’t call anyone because his culture war politics and lack of empathy when it comes to anything that requires a brain cell don’t line up. I’m waiting for him to start calling our DJI drones “woke” . All these “law and order” politicians don’t really give a rat’s *** about actual law and order or the people who have to stand on the front lines and protect and serve their communities.

Way to go Ronald, you just weakened your own LEOs, FDs, and SAR agencies.

While this may not be a great move, and perhaps he needs to be better informed on this specific issue.. There are many reasons to be concerned about what China is doing these days, irregardless of DJI.

It was a bold decision since many hobbiests as well as first responders, search and rescue, etc. use the drone for fun and for work and for noble purposes. If there were an American product to takes its place of comparable quality, it would be great.

As a resident of Florida I personally am thankful for the actions the governor took during the Covid lockdown. Floridians became the beneficiary of freedoms more quickly, schools opened sooner, and the politically correct restrictions were lifted sooner (e.g. masking, opening of schools and stores, etc). I felt fortunate in living in this state because of the actions the governor took. Other issues are not appropriate to discuss in this forum such as gender affirmation and abortion, and risk politicizing this thread.
