Good question and TBH I really dont knowWell, that raises another question. What would be a safe distance? I am new to drones so I am learning as I go
A cruise ship is a very large chunk of steel with lots of communication systems on it so I would think there would be a lot of interference.
You would have to fly very, very close to have any magnetic interference issues.Well, that raises another question. What would be a safe distance?
Interesting, thanks for the info! You would have to fly very, very close to have any magnetic interference issues.
Probably closer than 10 feet from the hull.
If you are at a distance that allows you to photograph the whole ship rather than closeups of small parts of the ship, you would have no issues.
Likewise, the ships navigation equipment isn't going to affect your drone.
How do I know?
I specialise in photographing ships and shoot several hundred each year.
If you are new to drones, then flying over water near large objects may not be the best beginning flights to do.Well, that raises another question. What would be a safe distance? I am new to drones so I am learning as I go
I would think they if you maintain 400ft seperation you would be fat enough away to not cause any problems.
Then stay away from big moving objects and first learn how to fly and react in critial situations in a wide and safe environment!Well, that raises another question. What would be a safe distance? I am new to drones so I am learning as I go
Are there any restriction in the US about flying near a moving cruise ship?
