What to do with the Smart Controller was the biggest concern.

Thinking about the water getting on the SC while ripping up the wakes hmnn? would be nice to tether it to the craft with some sort of WP just until you need it to land or whatever.

its the Smart Controller that worries me if that goes in the water its going to sink fast at 1 pound . but if strapped around my neck will make jumping waves tough .

Start with this tripod Bracket...

And then find a suitable clamp to mount on the handlebars, if accessible, or the watercraft with a suction cup mount.

You could probably adapt this mount with a 1/4-20 piece from a GoPro to replace the stock remote holder.

This is the suction cup mount I use on my watercraft to hold my Samsung 360 camera or GoPro.

I know the cameras aren't as heavy as the SC, but it's a place to start.

I have a length of paracord tied to the mount and the watercraft just in case the mount failed.

If all else fails, take somebody with you to fly the drone from land while you are riding the waves.

Good luck. :)

Hey Coal.. you are adventurous that's for sure!!

A couple thoughts for you.. How about setting your RTH to hover?? If you lose signal or whatever it will just hover and you can go retrieve it. I do that when flying through the woods so it wont try to go up through the canopy to RTH, I just go to where it is and by then I'm close and get signal again and can take over control.

As far as the controller they make binocular harnesses to keep them from bouncing around while you are moving, they have some with just clips to hook on... https://www.amazon.com/Nyack-Ergono...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

And they also make them with a pouch.. Amazon.com : Vortex Optics Glasspak Binocular Harness : Camera & Photo

I have both.. for different binocular set ups while hunting.

You said you couldn't see the screen at one point.
I thought the Smart Controller had a bright screen.

Are your sunglasses polarized?

They don't work well with screens.

Glad you helped them out and the aircraft didn't go swimming. :)
